Innocence and Sin

17 Jan 2020 19 8 541
The Divine Apple Tree The original Divine Apple Tree exists somewhere in the nether world, a dimension between imagination and reality. Myths, legends and religious visions come from a hidden place deep within the soul. For the Greeks and Romans, Jews and Christians and other cultures, this sweet fruit plays a role in the story of innocence and sin. Using special technology involving pseudoscience and manipulation of the light spectrum I have managed to peer through a portal revealing a twilight image of that first apple tree. Tempted though I was, I did not partake of the forbidden fruit. This photo was taken by a Minolta Autocord Seikosha-MX (Chiyoko) TLR using Chiyoko Rokkor 75mm f/3.2 & 3.5 lenses with a 49mm Hoya R72 Infrared filter attached to a 30mm to 49mm Bayonet TLR adapter using Rollei IR 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop.

A Different Twist

08 Jun 2015 11 656
Considering the thousands of photos taken of this Pebble Beach Landmark, I have attempted to give the image a new look . . . The vista point was awash with iPad and smart phone photographers. I heard a murmur and noticed that some tourists were taking pictures of me! The best line that I overheard was, "Hey, that old guy has a camera just like my grandpa used to have." Half Dome

25 Aug 2014 13 2 745
Although this geologic formation in Yosemite National Park is commonly referred to as Half Dome, I have my doubts. It certainly looks like an alien sculpture of the Grim Reaper (without the scythe).
