It has been over 1,300 years since the last inhabitants abandoned this building. The walls have begun to re-emerge from the tropical forest floor as archaeologist begin the process of excavation and restoration. This photo was taken by a Yashica Electro 35CC and COLOR-YASHINON DX 1:1.8 f=35mm lens with a Pro 52mm (UV) Japan filter using a Kodak Ektachrome slide, the positive transparency scanned by an HP Scanjet G4050 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Monte Verde Cloud Forest Reserve protects a spectacular tropical environment. This 2006 photo came from a Nikon E8700 "Coolpix" 8 megapixel consumer digital camera. Although I post primarily analogue film photos I reserve the right to post an occasional digital image much in the same way that I occasionally eat unhealthy food . . .
