The San Juan River has turned into a contortionist in it's meandering route to join the mighty Colorado. This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera and KOWA 1:3.5/55mm lens with a Kowa 81-B ø67 filter using Fuji 160NS film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

As a child I journeyed down the San Juan River near my home on improvised rafts, pretending to be Huck Finn. My adventures were several hundred miles upstream from the impressive canyon system that this river has carved on it's path to join the mighty Colorado River. This photo was taken by an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera and Super-Multi-Coated Takumar/6X7 1:4.5/75 lens with a HOYA HMC 82mm O[G]) filter using Kodak 400TX film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
