The sheep herders of this pastoral area would have been shocked to see what their land would become - The Carneros District of Sonoma/Napa.
The rolling hills are now covered in tidy vineyards with monumental wineries overlooking the domaine. All that is left of the past is the name and this fountain sculpture.

From The Paul Masson Mountain Winery is an overlook of Silicon Valley. Everyone has heard of this place, headquarters of many of the world's most important Computer and Internet Technology companies. In showing you this overlook view I can probably be chastised for not taking the photo with an iPhone! By the way, silicon is not only useful in creating computer chips - it is essential in creating glass bottles to store wine. With that, I raise my glass to Silicon!!
