Chan Chan Ruins Trujillo, Peru Chan Chan was divided into courtyard compounds. The walls were elaborately painted. One can only imagine today what the city was like in it's glory, one thousand years ago. This photo was taken by a Yashica Electro 35CC film camera and COLOR-YASHINON DX 1:1.8 f=35mm lens with a Pro 52mm (UV) Japan filter using Kodak Ektachrome 64 Daylight film, the slide scanned by an HP Scanjet G4050 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Chan Chan

My father used to exclaim in disgust, "Well, that went over like a lead ball over a Mud Fence", when things went wrong. The builders of the ancient Chimú city of Chan Chan near Trujillo, Peru might elicit a similar response if they could get a look at the state of their capital now. This photo from the archives was taken with a Yashica ELECTRO 35CC and a COLOR-YASHINON DX 1:1.8 f=35mm lens using Kodak 135 daylight negative film, the negative scanned with a HP Scanjet G4050 and restored and digitalized with Photoshop tools.
