Hope each and every one of you has enjoyed or is about to enjoy a wonderful, Thanksgiving dinner! For those of you who don't really celebrate, I hope you've had a relaxing day, with perhaps time to think about all the reasons why we are all so lucky. I believe this tropical plant is Tillandsia, Pink Quill, a Bromeliad. Photographed in the ENMAX Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo on October 11th. Usually when I see these, they are half hidden behind other tropical leaves, so I was lucky to get a clear shot this time.

Finally, a photo of this pretty Tropical flower fit to post! It has proven to be a difficult flower to get in focus, but this one will do : ). Seen today in the Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo. Hope you had good luck with this one today, Nancy! I have seen similar looking flowers identified as Pink Quill or Purple Quill, so this is a tentative ID.
