Just a rather poor quality photo posted as a record for an afternoon walk I went on yesterday, 22 October, with birding friends. A zoomed-in shot, showing part of downtown. I think we saw about 12 species of bird, that's all. Starting from the sailing club, we walked along the edge of the Glenmore Reservoir towards Weaselhead and then climbed up to the main path, which we took back to the parking lot. It was a very windy day, so maybe that was keeping the birds away. The water was very choppy and most of the birds on the water were Coots. They almost looked like they were having fun, riding the waves. After the two-and-a-half-hour walk, we went for coffee at the Good Earth cafe. Just as enjoyable as the walk itself.
