I don't usually post this kind of photo, but today, I went with friends to the "new' Blackfoot Crossing Museum, in Gleichen, Alberta. It was about an hour and a half drive out there, going east from the city. This magnificent Aboriginal museum is surrounded by low, rolling prairie hills, close to the Bow River. The architecture is superb and the displays inside are so beautifully and creatively presented. This photo shows part of the back of the building, from where you get a wonderful view over the prairie. www.blackfootcrossing.ca

Saw these two tepees today when I spent a few hours with my oldest daughter at Heritage Park, a pioneer village here in the city. They have recently added a Native area and these two tepees are part of it.
