Sometimes I look at these water droplet images and think they are totally meaningless, LOL! However, it's fun trying and seeing how they turn out. Like a big eyeball belonging to "something" : ) I can almost imagine it swivelling round, following my every move, ha, ha. Waterdroplets on a Christmas Cactus petal. I finally managed to get my H1N1 'Flu shot today and am now back to backing up some of my photo files yet again on to a replacement external hard drive - I sure hope that THIS machine works OK! Wasn't going to get this 'Flu shot, but my oldest daughter is very high risk, so really wanted me to get it.

Just a few teeny water droplets on a pink petal : ) Loved the colour that they turned out. Can't remember if this was on a Christmas Cactus flower.

LOL, yes, it's more of THEM! No fancy refraction, just little round balls of gold on the petal of an Alstremeria flower (Peruvian Lily). Lorrie, this is the one I was telling you about on our walk this morning : ) Need to resave many dozens of folders of my nature images after having to replace (in a bit of a panic, ha) an external hard drive yesterday that I bought about a month ago. I am not impressed that this one (of two new ones) has proven to be faulty, especially as I should be spending my time on backing-up almost a whole year's worth of my pics which still are not saved anywhere! Sometimes, I just don't think I like computers, LOL!

One of my attempts earlier in November, using my little Raynox 250 lens - teeny water droplets on a Christmas Cactus petal. Was out at the Zoo for just a short while this afternoon and after seeing snow everywhere, decided I needed a splash of bright colour for some fake warmth this evening : )

I think I took nicer images this afternoon, but haven't had a chance to go through them properly yet. Meanwhile, here is a splash of hot red to hopefully help you feel a little warmer : ) These teeny droplets are on a very small, white flower petal. I needed this colour to contrast with the cold looking flower image above : )

Sorry, folks, I've been playing again - it can be quite addictive, unfortunately! Try explaining that to my family and friends who won't be receiving their Chistmas cards and letters till after Christmas, LOL. These "candy cane" water droplets are on a single petal of a white Chrysanthemum, taken in my kitchen. Just thought it was a bit Christmasy : ) Can almost smell and taste Peppermint : ) Rebecca - I know they aren't exactly pearls, but ....

Just a supermacro of the goings-on under a flower petal : ) Messing around with my Raynox 250 again. Sorry I'm being so slow with commenting, everyone! I've just been told that I have dangerously high blood pressure (after being without medication for quite a few months because I didn't have a family doctor, and the last walk-in doctor I saw almost a year ago refused to give me more than one month's worth and told me I HAD to find one - impossible in this city!!! Finally, I have managed to find a doctor (though I have to admit I can barely understand him, as his accent is very difficult. I wonder if his patients are leaving him because they can't understand him? Anyway, I am back on BP medication - a side effect is that it is causing awful tiredness, which does not go down well with me at all! Hard to make myself get out of bed and get ready to go on an occasional walk, too, which isn't good. I'm just functioning at a MUCH slower pace - grrr!

A pink Gerbera seen at the Calgary Zoo just over a year ago. It was part of a very beautiful winter/spring display in the Butterfly House, which replaced the usual tropical plants.
