Zinnia, I think

12 Apr 2012 187
I took so many photos of these and other flowers last year, thinking that I'd have some cheery colour to share over the long, winter months. Suddenly, after a beautiful mild winter for the most part, spring is here and I've barely touched my flower photos : ) I don't know where this winter went to. Well, apart from posting my photos early this morning, I managed to stay off the computer for about six and a half hours. Was on a three-hour walk with friends all morning, at Sikome and Hull's Wood, in Fish Creek Park, which really helped. I always have a backpack on, but today I couldn't even get it on, my arms were so painful, so I felt rather weird and "naked". I know I need to be so careful to hopefully not make my arms any worse than they already are - there are enough things I'm not able to do at the moment, as it is, which is a real pain. If I can't get to comment on your photos, please, no need at all to comment on mine : ) 4:00 p.m. - it's snowing heavily ..... "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ..." From the Calgary Zoo: "We have some new footage of our baby AMUR TIGER CUBS, growing steadily and now opening their eyes! Again, they won't be out for the public until sometime in June." youtu.be/YUeskVsDHEo

May the bokeh of light and hope, strength and courage shine down on each and every one of you who is affected in one way or another by cancer, either yourself or a loved one. Perhaps, one day, this disease will be completely eradicated from the world - may the bokeh of light guide all those who search for "The Cure". On a personal note, Penny, all your friends including me are thinking of you. Bird walks are strangely quiet without your infectious laughter and great sense of humour. We want to see you when winter birding begins closer to Christmas!!
