This native member of the Aster family or Composite family has small (less than 1 cm across), densely packed and often overlapping flowers growing along the stem. Also known as Heath White Aster, Many-flowered Aster, and Heath Aster. It grows in fields and along roadsides, and grows in patches as it spreads primarily by runners and roots.
