This native, tiny-flowered plant is a member of the Phlox family and grows in moist, open areas and dry, sandy soil. I very rarely see this species - we found this plant on a botanizing day hike on the Small Whaleback, a long way south of Calgary. Macro photograph taken on July 10th.
