Horribly blurry, I know, but this was an unusual find when we spent the day botanizing Rod Handfield's acreage, west of Millarville (south west of Calgary) on 17th August last year. Apparently, this is a Mold, growing on leaf litter in the forest. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mold
