We spent the whole, long day riding NW of Cochrane (which is NW of the city) and then through the Sibbald and Exshaw areas in the mountains, finding a total of 69 species of bird : ). Everything from Trumpeter Swans and Mountain Bluebirds to Kestrels and Bald Eagles. Gorgeous weather today, too!

On an owl-less day on 26 March 2013, I decided to drive a little further west on the way home, calling in at Ghost Lake (man-made). Of course, it was still frozen over, hopefully with very thick ice, as a young man was speeding on his motorcross (?) bike all over the lake.
