Sorry for the string of photos today that will be quite boring to most of you, LOL! However, I wanted to create an fd mosaic, and in order to do that, I have to have the photos in my photostream. Thought I'd get it over and done with in one go so that I can make the mosaic this evening : ). I might just upload the mosaic, too, in which case you'll get a double dose of these rather uninspiring images. At least this first photo is a bright, colourful one and the second photo is of a bird of prey. The rest are all wildflowers that we saw at Strathcona Park Ravine yesterday morning. This cheery, orange flower was growing in Stanley Park (the Calgary one) when four of us were there this morning. We spent all morning going to see a lot of trees that have been chosen as Heritage Trees. Each owner gets a plaque to attach to their tree or to be displayed elsewhere in their garden. A book will be coming out soon (?) about all these Heritage Trees, so it was interesting for me to see some of them in person today.

Couldn't get close to this 1st winter male Common Goldeneye this morning, on a walk along the Bow River at Stanley Park. All my photos of Goldeneye are distant ones : ). Thanks to I-P-S for correcting me - I have changed the ID from a female to a 1st winter male! Much appreciated!
