This little Burrowing Owl was hiding on a ledge behind a tree in the Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo. In typical owl fashion, that's where it stayed hour after hour, LOL! They are 20-23 cms long. I'm so happy to know that this owl species is being protected in Alberta.
