These young Barn Swallows had just noticed that Mom was on her way back to fill their open mouths. They are nesting under the eaves at the University of Calgary Field Station out in Kananaskis, by Barrier Lake.

A little water droplet on the petal of a miniature Daffodil, taken maybe an hour and a half ago in my kitchen. I can see my two cacti upside down at the bottom of the droplet, each with a small orange flower.

It has been NINE whole days since I posted a photo of a Chickadee - can't contain myself any longer, LOL!

This is quite a spectacular cactus flower, growing in the Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo. Reminds me of the Christmas Cactus, though this flower at the Zoo is quite large. Looks rather Christmasy. Not sure if this is an Epiphyllum.
