Not sure if this is a Satyr Anglewing or a Green Comma. Seen at Big Hill Springs park, just NW of Calgary, on 21st August 2007. Note on 1st September 2007: thanks, Ron (Ron Wolf) for the positive ID!

SPRING IS HERE!!! A friend invited me to go for a walk this afternoon in my favourite natural area and this is one of the wonderful things we saw - a Green Comma butterfly! What a joy to see this small butterfly and to be able to get photos of it. Made my day and I hope it brightens yours! I don't want to check the weather foreacst because the other day it said we would be getting snow later this week.
