Amur Cherry bark

The bark of the Amur Cherry is such a beautiful colour and texture - the peeling bark is most attractive, and my photo hardly does it justice. This tree is native to Korea, Siberia and Manchuria.
"The distinctive feature of the Amur Cherry is its shiny copper coloured bark that periodically peels off in paper thin layers. The creamy white flowers are quite fragrant and turn into small edible black fruit that can be picked to make preserves or simply left on the tree for the birds." From www.mrvs.net .

I thought the bark of this tree was so beautiful. It might look better in a slightly larger size (haven't tried it yet) - not usually recommended for most of my images!
