Today is another day that I need to feel warm and cozy. I think we had a high of -18C, but the roads are TREACHEROUS today and I guess will be for the next while at least. I had quite a bit of driving today and, for a good part of it, the traffic travelled inch by inch, often around 15 kph! Frigid weather about to arrive again : (. Couldn't get a "straight" candle flame, LOL - too many icy draughts in my place!

Like so many others, I have spent quite a lot of time watching the CNN Headline News the last day or two, about Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy. The power of Mother Nature is unbeatable. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have suffered, and are still suffering, the effects of this major storm. How people ever recover from something so devastating always has me shaking my head - but most people do. The power of determination and the strong feelings of community bring people together, and they push on till at least some semblance of "normal" can return. We are thinking of you all!

I have had this little mushroom candle for many years, LOL! Shows how long my mushroom interest has been alive, though it was only when I bought my first digital camera and could take close-ups of real ones, that my interest for fungi turned into an unquenchable passion.

If I could invite you over, this little Christmas table would greet you just inside my front door. Nothing fancy, but you would be welcome.
