Turtlehead / Chelone

The name of this plant always makes me smile, but you can see why it got its name : ) This one was growing at the Reader Rock Garden on October 13th. It's snowing yet again here, and looks so beautiful outside (and cold, of course). I really should try and get out later this afternoon - for one thing, I need food! I think I'll be able to finish saving the last of my Inbox e-mails today, thank goodness, and can then phone Shaw tomorrow to get a technician to "rebuild" my Inbox for me, remotely. It's snowing again today - looks so pretty outside. Of course, I might be thinking differently when I have to go and clear the snow off my car when I go food shopping.

This Turtlehead plant was at the Reader Rock Garden. A new one for me. When you squeeze the flower, it opens like a turtle's mouth.
