Not sure when I took this photo, but it was with my old Olympus C750 UZ camera, when the date wasn't working. Found at Bebo Grove, Fish Creek Park. LOL, at least I got one edge reasonably sharp!

This is also known as Arrow-grass, Common Bog Arrow-grass, Goose-tongue, Salt-grass, Saltmarsh Arrowgrass, and Spike-grass. It is an uncommon perennial, native to Alberta. Saw this specimen at Beaverdam Flats Natural Area.

This is a Wild Turkey, which happens to live at the Zoo. We do sometimes see such birds in the wild, though I have only seen them once. The colours and patterns are stunning.

I'm not sure what kind of Fritillary this is.
