Thank you very much :-) MACRO MONDAYS 2.0 TOPIC 128: OIL ON WATER I spent a long time getting nowhere and was about to give up :-) But, I did eventually get one shot (this one) that I thought wasn't too bad although I was still a bit disappointed. I wondered if there was a way of smoothing the result and I tried the 'Dream Smoothing' filter in GIMP Photo Software and also added a 'Mirror' effect. I think I like this result a lot better :-) Now for 'Sight and Sound' ~ As I used a 'Mirror Effect' filter I have chosen "MIrror Image" by Rosanne Cash :-) Added to Sight and Sound : Pictures & Music This is from Rosanne's 1990 album "Interiors". This lady is in the grounds of West Wycombe Park and, for me, was an obvious photographic subject :-) I was going to use the original of "I'm Only Sleeping" by The Beatles but the YouTube links I looked at were all blocked for copyright reasons!! Explored! ~ Thank you very much :-))) This 'Wheel' stands at the edge of Startops End Reservoir. A long time back I used a similar shot to link to "Heart Like A Wheel" by Linda Ronstadt. I needed another shot to go with "The Wheel" by Rosanne Cash. This shot was taken with my Apple iPod and I was very pleased with the clarity of the shot :-) I am now realising how good Apple equipment is!! Added to 'Soundtrack to Life' www.ipernity.com/group/362993 I have seen a technique in Digital Photo magazine involving marbles. So I asked Mrs B to pick me up a bag :-) Just messing about with one of the marbles I thought I could do something different by adding a red stemmed wine glass (as you would of course) and also adding a yellow background :-)) The glass was empty .....honest!!
