When I visited Waddesdon Manor back on 10 July there was clearly a photoshoot happening. I was tempted to ask if I could take over the photographer duties but thought it was not a good idea :-) Took a couple of shots from afar and added a bit of soft focus to this one. I did wonder if the lady in middle of the group had spotted me :-) Photographs were being taken and there would be memories for sure. These folks were going to an Oxford University Ceremony in the Sheldonian Theatre. Explored! Thank you very much :-) This is a sundial in the grounds of Canons Ashby, a National Trust property and garden in Northamptonshire. I believe the sundial dates from the 1700's but I could be wrong :-) A sundial tells the time of day and I have chosen "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce for 'Sight and Sound' :-) Tragically, on September 20, 1973, Jim Croce and five others died when their chartered plane crashed into a tree during take-off from the Natchitoches Regional Airport in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
