I tend to call it the 'Biochemistry Building' but its true title is -
Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin Building (Department of Biochemistry, Laboratory of Molecular Biophysics).
Extract from Wikipedia -
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorothy_Hodgkin
"Dorothy Mary Crowfoot Hodgkin OM FRS HonFRS (née Crowfoot; 12 May 1910 – 29 July 1994) was a Nobel Prize-winning English chemist who advanced the technique of X-ray crystallography to determine the structure of biomolecules, which became essential for structural biology.
Among her most influential discoveries are the confirmation of the structure of penicillin as previously surmised by Edward Abraham and Ernst Boris Chain; and mapping the structure of vitamin B12, for which in 1964 she became the third woman to win the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Hodgkin also elucidated the structure of insulin in 1969 after 35 years of work.
Hodgkin used the name "Dorothy Crowfoot" until twelve years after marrying Thomas Lionel Hodgkin, when she began using "Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin". Hodgkin is referred to as "Dorothy Hodgkin" by the Royal Society (when referring to its sponsorship of the Dorothy Hodgkin fellowship), and by Somerville College. The National Archives of the United Kingdom refer to her as "Dorothy Mary Crowfoot Hodgkin".

Back to one of my favourite Oxford buildings.
For 'Sight & Sound' "Colours" seems to be the logical choice. Pretty sure I have previously used Donovan's version but not sure if I have previously used this live version by Donovan & Joan Baez at the Newport Folk Music Festival. No matter, I'm sure we can use any version more than once :-)

This is an old photo that I copied and flipped. The process is readily available on the Internet but I have the 'Digital Photographer's Guide to Photoshop Elements' by Barry Beckham from 2003. In this book it details the process with screenshots and pictures. I will be trying this again with some other photos but I think I need to write down the process on a sheet of paper so that I don't have to keep trying to find the book :-)

My ipernity activity has been pretty non-existent for the last week because I had a tooth extraction and I've been living on pain killers ever since!! Been back to the dentist again today and following more treatment I'm hoping the pain may be beginning to fade a little. Also, have pills to take that means alcohol is banned! That's a blow :-)
Most every time I go to Oxford I take photos of the Biochemistry Building so here is one taken a couple of weeks ago :-)

This was done quite some time back and I remember it was goin' to be a proper Biochemistry Building Orb. But then I think I cut it in two and flipped one half :-)

Quite near to the 24th of September 2015 when it was 24 degrees Celsius and at 24 minutes after midday I took my 24th frame (this one) of the Biochemistry Building. You can probably count 24 different shapes here as well.
So, for 'Sight and Sound' "24 Frames" by Jason Isbell immediately springs to my mind. Also, an Architect is mentioned in the song and an Architect designed the Biochemistry Building :-)

“Eight Miles High” was banned in the States shortly after its release following allegations there were perceived drug connotations in the lyrics. But, as Chris Hillman says it was more about The Byrd's flight to London in August 1965 :-)
Obviously two of the guys here are Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen. I'm 99% sure the guy playing the red guitar is John Jorgenson.
Now to the slightly tenuous link for 'Soundtrack to Life'. It might look like sensor dirt but there is an aeroplane in the top corner of my shot that is flying very high leaving engine exhaust contrails. Unless it is a spacecraft :-) Apparently, commercial airliners fly at an altitude of six to seven miles and I believe the song was entitled “Eight Miles High” 'cos that sounded more poetic :-)
