When I was in Oxford I was thinking of coming up with a 'books' link for 'Sight and Sound'. "I am a Rock" by Simon & Garfunkel includes the lines - I have my books And my poetry to protect me When I saw the guy sitting on the steps of the Weston Library I thought "that's the photo I need". And, just as I pressed the shutter this lady rode by :-) The guy got up and walked away before I could take another shot! I don't know what this song is about.....maybe, the passage of time, a lost love..... Anyway, And the leaves that are green turn to brown And they wither with the wind And they crumble in your hand is enough of a tenuous Autumn link for me to use this song together with my Autumn photo taken in Whipsnade Tree Cathedral....methinks :-)) I am never too sure about adding soft focus to my Autumn shots but 'tis done now :-)) Added to ~ Sight and Sound ♫ ♪ ♪ ♫ Listen here ~ Leaves That Are Green ~ Simon & Garfunkel

For the second time this year Helen & I have been to see 'The Simon & Garfunkel Story'. Last evening we went to see the show at the Watford Colosseum (our first time visiting this venue). It was another brilliant and magical night and everyone was on their feet at the end of the show! This leads me to this older shot of two lady marshalls deep in conversation at the 2012 Kop Hill Climb. I don't normally do Tribute Bands :-) But, last evening was totally different!! We went to The Stables @ Wavendon to see 'The Simon & Garfunkel Story'. All tickets were sold! Massive thanks to - Dean Elliott - Paul Simon Jonny Smart - Art Garfunkel Murray Gardiner - Electric Guitar, Keyboards Bass - Leon Camfield Drums - Josh Powell Not just breathtaking music but anecdotes about their partnership and wonderful photos/film of that era projected onto a screen behind the guys. A magical and emotional evening from start to finish :-) It is almost impossible to say which are my fave Simon & Garfunkel songs but - “Homeward Bound”, “The Boxer”, “America”, “Old Friends”, “A Hazy Shade of Winter” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water” are at the top of my list :-) The guys absolutely nailed “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and at the end of this song everyone was on their feet :-) Added to ~ Soundtrack to Life Listen here ~ Bridge Over Troubled Water ~ Simon & Garfunkel p.s. my attempt at a montage :-)

I don't expect the non-photogenic metal barriers to stay here in Broad Street for very long but I think they make a not too distracting background....easily pleased I am :-) Not too many days left before we go to see Simon & Garfunkel......well, not them in person but to see the 'The Simon & Garfunkel Story' :-) Leads me to think this young lady is 'Homeward Bound' :-) Added to ~ Soundtrack to Life Listen here ~ Homeward Bound ~ Simon & Garfunkel
