HAPPY FENCE FRIDAY, ALL :-) I normally hibernate when it is cold and snowy :-) But, last Monday I braved the elements and went to Oxford. Thankfully, most of the snow had disappeared! This shot is of Nuffield College and I believe this is the library tower topped by a flèche. A flèche is, apparently, a lead-covered timber spire, or spirelet :-) Nuffield College was founded in 1937 after a donation to the University by William Richard Morris an English motor manufacturer who founded Morris Motors Limited. I was looking for a motor car link for 'Sight and Sound' and here comes a very wayward one :-) There is a group called 'The Cars'.
