Happy Fence Friday, All
Initially, I didn't think there was a fence here but then noticed there is one over on the left-hand side :-) So, all is well :-)
This photo was taken shortly after sunrise in Stowe Landscape Gardens so I am also adding this to Sight and Sound : Pictures & Music

I always get a 'Peaceful Easy Feeling' when I go to Stowe Landscape Gardens :-)
One of my all-time fave tracks is "Peaceful Easy Feeling" performed by The Eagles. When, recently, I came across a live version of this song by Kate Wolf I was stopped in my tracks!! Absolutely love Kate's version :-) Such a tragedy that Kate was taken from us in 1986 having succumbed to leukemia after a long battle. Kate was only 44 years of age.
Some beautiful comments on YouTube,
"Beautiful melodies are more obvious at this pace and Kate's voice is sublime. For those of you who find it too slow (and it's a good point) maybe after a long day, a tumbler of good scotch whisky and just let the sun go down. Try it. R.I.P. Kate."
"Kate always turned something special into something very very special..."
"Beautifully relaxing version by a wonderful warm and talented performer..I'm so glad I can call on her music and dip into her songs when I need comfort .. she is like a good friend now.. she is sadly missed."

I believe this is a 1965 4261cc Sunbeam Tiger Mk 1. The guy driving it was clearly taking it to the limit and this, of course, leads me to think of "Take It To The Limit" by The Eagles :-) Written by Randy Meisner, Don Henley and Glenn Frey. It is my favourite Eagles song and one of my all-time fave tracks.
I applied a 'Lomoish' effect here that gives high-contrast with unusual saturation and it may be better on black, possibly :-)

I am using the same Eagles song that Karen (k.e.s_kloset) has used in her beautiful and moving tribute to Glenn Frey.
Whenever I go to Stowe Landscape Gardens I get a 'Peaceful Easy Feeling' and this leads me to remember Glenn Frey. Another tragic loss to music. The Eagles took it to the limit and left us with the very best music that will live on forever.
Rest in Peace, Glenn.

~ Explored! ~ Thank you very much :-)))
This 'cafe' (Lady Scarletts Tea Parlour) in Ventnor, Isle of Wight is not 'by any stretch of the imagination' a 'sad cafe'. But, so that I can use this Eagles track we will have to imagine, just for a moment, that there is a little bit of sadness here :-)
"The Sad Cafe" comes from the Eagles' 1979 album "The Long Run". It followed their all-time classic album "Hotel California". I know reviews at the time said it was a disappointing album. It could never have surpassed "Hotel California" but there are gems on "The Long Run" and I say this is one of them :-) The song is, apparently, about The Troubadour in Los Angeles).
Love the alto saxophone solo by David Sanborn at the end of the track :-)

The building on the left is not really Hotel California. But, it is for the purposes of Soundtrack Weekend :-)))
I wish I didn’t have to look through so much foul language when reading YouTube comments but that is a gripe for another day!!!!
Anyway, one comment includes the line “The ending of this song is simply one of the greatest sequences in rock history”. I would totally agree!! The interplay between Don Felder and Joe Walsh is breathtaking!! Add to this the most perfect vocal performance by Don Henley.
“You can check out any time you like/But you can never leave"

p.s. it is actually ‘swissotel’ on the left of my shot :-) We stayed in 'Hotel Amsterdam' (in the middle of the shot) back in 2004.
