Explored! Thank you very much :-) SATURDAY SELF-CHALLENGE 17 NOVEMBER 2018 TAKE A PHOTO OF AN ODD NUMBER OF ANY SUBJECT (3,5,7 ETC.) AND ARRANGE IT SO THAT IT'S PLEASING TO THE EYE. I told them to stay together and keep swimming in the same direction.......please :-) This shot was taken at Willen Lake. The lake is quite large and for 'Sight and Sound' I have chosen "The Water is Wide" by David Sanborn & Linda Ronstadt. This Peace Pagoda is next to Willen Lake in Milton Keynes. It was the first Peace Pagoda built in the western world. I guess most everyone has recorded "Peace in the Valley" :-) I have searched YouTube and decided upon the version by Red Foley from 1951 when I was very approximately 2 years old. So, it seems logical to me to link this to "I Can Help" by Billy Swan :-) I don't mind the pleasantly distracting ladies in the video :-) But, to me, the video seems a bit odd to say the least.......perhaps they had an Art Director who said "I have some great ideas on how to shoot a music video that is a little bit different :-))) Added to ~ Sight and Sound Listen here ♫ ♪ ♪ ♫ ~ I Can Help ~ Billy Swan

Milton Keynes Peace Pagoda 33rd Anniversary

On 23 June I was torn between two essential photo opportunities!! Both were held @ Willen Lake, Milton Keynes. One was the Milton Keynes Dragon Boat Festival with much needed funds from the event being donated to the nearby Willen Hospice. The other event was the 33rd Anniversary of the building of the Milton Keynes Peace Pagoda. This was the first Peace Pagoda to be built in the Western World. We arrived in plenty of time but although the distance between the two events was not huge it would have been much better if I could have been in both places at once :-) So, it was a case of goin’ back and forth between the two :-) In the afternoon there were multi-cultural events at the Pagoda. These delightful Japanese ladies sang songs in English as well as Japanese. It was difficult to find good viewpoints (excuses again!) without standing in front of people. But I was fairly pleased with this effort. I felt the shot would be enhanced by a little soft focus so I did just that in Photoshop :-)
