It wasn't too difficult to find some bottles 'cos we do have a glass of wine with a meal. Well, okay, with most meals :-)
And, using the draining board as a backdrop.......again :-)
Also, for 'Sight and Sound' I have chosen one of my faves. That is "Two More Bottles of Wine" by Emmylou Harris. The song was written by Delbert McClinton and features on Emmylou's 1978 album "Quarter Moon in a Ten Cent Town".

"Boulder to Birmingham" was written by Emmylou Harris and Bill Danoff and features on Emmy's 1975 album "Pieces of the Sky". Bill Danoff was married to Taffy Nivert and together with John Denver they wrote "Take Me Home Country Roads". Bill Danoff & Taffy NIvert were also members of the Starland Vocal Band and they recorded "Boulder to Birmingham" as well.
I hope you are following me thus far :-)
My photo was taken in the grounds of Nuffield College in Oxford. "Boulder to Birmingham" is one of my all-time favourite tracks by Emmylou and as there is a 'Boulder' in my photo I think this should be my 'Sight and Sound' link :-)
I also found, on YouTube, a 1977 live performance of "Boulder to Birmingham" by the Starland Vocal Band so a link to this is included :-)
I'll stop now :-)

Previously I have used a very similar shot to this one. That one had quite a few birds flying around :-)
This one I am linking, pretty tenuously, to "Song For The Life" written and performed by Rodney Crowell 'cos there is a line in the song that says "For a sound like the sun going down" :-)
Somehow I learned how to listen
For a sound like the sun going down
In the magic that morning is bringing
There's a song for the friends I have found
To keep my feet on the ground
Way back in the 70's we were fortunate enough to see several 'Emmylou Harris & The Hot Band' concerts when Rodney and Albert Lee played in The Hot Band. And, since the 70's we have seen Albert very many times as part of Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes. Many moons ago we did have tickets to see Hal Ketchum but, sadly, the concert was cancelled when Hal was taken ill and was later diagnosed with a very serious illness whereby he lost the use of the left side of his body. Unfortunately, we never got to see Carlene Carter in concert.

I have been wanting to find a shot that includes a 'yellow coat' to link to "Yellow Coat" by Steve Goodman. One of my very, very favourite songs by Steve.

In the Biography "Steve Goodman: Facing The Music" by Clay Eals, Clay asked Emmylou Harris for a quote about Steve. Emmylou said "There are a lot of great people out there that are not household names, and you know what? It's not a bad thing. Someone like Steve really touched you in a way that music is supposed to touch you, and the people who are fans of Steve Goodman will be fans till death. That's really the best success you could have as an artist".
So, I think it is very fitting that I include Emmylou's live version of "Yellow Coat".

Okay.....here comes one of my slightly tenuous links for 'Sight and Sound' :-)
To me it looks like the young lady on the bicycle is 'racing' the two peeps in the background to see who can be the first to reach the 'King's Arms' Public House :-)
Therefore, this links to the legendary "Racing in the Street" by Bruce Springsteen.
Now, I know I should use the original version by The Boss :-) But, quite simply, I absolutely love the version by Emmylou Harris from her 1982 "Last Date" album.
However, I have put in a second link to Bruce's original and awesome version :-))
