A bit of an obscure link for 'Sight and Sound' but I was taken with the sky here. I have chosen Jackson Browne's "Late for the Sky" covered by Sivert Hoyem with Darling West. One of my very favourite songs and love this cover version. Must be heard through headphones I say :-) Added to Sight and Sound : Pictures & Music ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ Listen here ~ Late for the Sky - Sivert Hoyem with Darling West Maybe view on black, please.

Waddesdon Manor Aviary. Inside looking out. Quite lucky with the blue sky and clouds because soon after I took these shots the sky started to go quite grey. I wasn't sure which photo to upload so decided upon both :-) Extract from Waddesdon Manor website - "Aviaries were an important part of many Rothschild gardens all over Europe in the 19th century. This followed a custom established by rulers and noblemen from the late 1600s, when owning exotic birds and animals was also a display of power, wealth and knowledge. Waddesdon’s cast-iron structure, erected in 1889, is similar to trelliswork pavilions designed for the gardens of Versailles." And, for 'Sight and Sound' I go back to the 'Birds.....Byrds' connection. As said previously Gene Clark was one of the founding members of The Byrds. I have chosen Gene's recording with Doug Dillard of "Somethings Wrong" from the 1968 album "The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard & Clark". Yesterday I lost the Internet connection. My provider said the problem had been identified and I would hear once the problem was sorted. I have not heard from the provider. However, I have just found out that I can log back in to the Internet. There should be an illuminated light on the Router but the light is NOT illuminated. Perhaps I should just assume all is now okay but this all seems a bit odd to me. Hopefully, I won't suddenly disappear from ipernity!!!!! Explored! Thank you very much :-) SATURDAY SELF-CHALLENGE 3 NOVEMBER 2018 "THIS CHALLENGE WILL BE ABOUT "FORCED PERSPECTIVE", OR CREATING AN ILLUSION USING DIFFERENT DISTANCE FOR TWO SUBJECTS". I would liked to have come up with an original idea but failed!!! I saw examples of 'Forced Perspective' using the sky, clouds and a paintbrush so I asked 'Worzel Gummidge' (made by my late mother) to paint the sky for me :-) Also, for 'Sight and Sound' - Worzel Gummidge is a scarecrow and there don't seem to be too many 'scarecrow' songs but I did come across "Scarecrow" by Alex & Sierra :-) I don't know anything about them. "Late for the Sky"

Where on earth ‘ave I been since 1974??? I must have been in hibernation not to be familiar with “Late for the Sky” by Jackson Browne :-)) I am very familiar with such classic Jackson Browne songs as “rock me on the water”, “these days”, “take it easy“, “fountain of sorrow”, “running on empty”, “the pretender”, "doctor my eyes”, “jamaica say you will”………………But, until I recently picked up “Jackson Browne Greatest Hits” for £3 (total bargain!) from Sainsbury’s supermarket I simply wasn’t familiar with “Late for the Sky” !! But now, I think I have worn out the replay button :-))) The next thing was how to get this breathtaking and all-time classic song on “Soundtrack Weekend”. So, here comes one of my obscure links :-) This shot was taken late-ish in the day and it is mostly of the sky. So that is good enough for moi :-))) Watch/Listen here- www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvBhFc0BSjI
