I grew lots of different flower species in my garden a couple of years ago, and one that I was really excited about was this one! The Mexican Hat is a wildflower that grows readily over much of North America, though not on the east or west coasts. I had never seen one before, so when many of the seeds that I planted produced flowers, I was totally delighted! Such a gorgeous and unusual bloom!! Explored on January 24, 2015. Right now the wild daisies are in full bloom and the odd thing is that they only like to grow in the dryest, most inhospitable places possible: the gravel driveway or packed clay soil! It's crazy to me that they grow at all, and the fact that they bloom is just amazing to me! I liked the way this one looked because it appears to be impersonating a coneflower! :D Silly daisy, stop pretending to be a coneflowr and pull those petals up into proper daisy formation! :D Helena Bonham Carter, CBE (born 26 May 1966) is an English actress.
