267/366: Filiment Frost on a Pine Needle

Summer has ended and the mornings are starting to get chilly. It won't be too long before we begin to get frost again, and I can't wait! This is what a pine needle looks like when it has frost on it! I captured this unusual frost formation back in 2013 when I was working on my 356 Project! :)

5/366: Pine Needle Topped with Snow

On January 1, 2013, I began my 365 Project. I remember the day so clearly. How excited I was as I wandered around on our snowy property, looking for just the right picture to be my very first. Along the way I found a snow-covered pine tree and managed to get this image!

Pine Needles Straddling a Branch

There's a log I love to check for mushrooms, and though I didn't find any, I stopped for a moment to just look around at the world. Peering up, I saw an interesting sight! Pine needles from a branch above had gotten stuck on the branch below and they looked like people straddling a log! I was originally going to make this my Picture of the Day, but after processing the Oak leaves, I thought this image is just a bit too muted to take center stage. What do you think? I love the leading line and interesting position of the pine needles, but...the bright, cheery color of the Oak leaves steal the show in my opinion.
