What a perfect name for this bright and cheery flower! Growing in lovely bouquets of yellow flowers, these plants grow all over our property, bringing smiles and happiness to anyone who sees them! :)
Also known as the Common Wooly Sunflower., this flower is native to western North America, and is found from southern Canada to southern California. There are about twelve species of "Eriophyllum" and the first was collected by the Lewis and Clark expedition in Idaho in 1906!
If you would like to know more about this flower, Wiki has a page here: Wiki: Eriophyllum
I've uploaded two other pictures today and I hope you'll visit them too!
Thanks to all of you who have visited and have left comments and favorites! I try to go to all of your pages within a day or two and is a highlight for me to see your beautiful photography! :)

This was another successful picture I got of pretty little Oregon Sunshine blossoms, and in the background you'll see a Grass Widow in bokeh! I would have liked to not have that focused flower dead center but alas, the composition looked best this way! Does it bother you?

What a perfect day it was for a hike up to the top of the Lower Table Rock! Steve and I went with our friend Michael Adams, who is a photographer, hiker, and cyclist too! We all had a fantastic day and I came home with a staggering 800 pictures! ACK! Granted, the reason I had so many pictures is because I take many different apertures of each subject and sometimes different angles too. Still, there were so many pictures I can't possibly get through them all in one sitting!
This picture was just what I was hoping for, a lovely field of tiny Oregon Sunshine flowers that fade off into bokeh. It's actually a bit tricky for me to get this kind of picture without running into a lot of unwanted sticks, leaves, and weeds. Then I have to find flowers where I want them in the foreground, in good condition and facing the right way. It took me a bunch of different groupings before I finally got lucky! Hooray!
Albert Einstein (14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist who developed the general theory of relativity, effecting a revolution in physics. For this achievement, Einstein is often regarded as the father of modern physics and the most influential physicist of the 20th century. While best known for his mass–energy equivalence formula E = mc2 (which has been dubbed "the world's most famous equation"), he received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect". The latter was pivotal in establishing quantum theory. Wikipedia: Albert Einstein ! :)
