1 more picture above in a note! :)
While I was taking pictures of the starry flowers, I noticed a miniscule insect on a leaf and took a bunch of pictures in the hopes that I would get some clear ones. While I was taking pictures, I noticed that there seemed to be liquid at the end of its proboscis, and was delighted when I was able to show this droplet in the image!! (I added texture to this image to give it a more artistic style!)
To be honest, I believe this is actually STOMACH juices that its barfed up and is sucking back down again. Disgusting!! I could just BARELY see the droplet--no larger than the period at the end of this sentence, and the gnat or mosquito seemed to be manipulating the droplet by lifting and lowering its proboscis and it would shrink and get larger as I watched. I really hope this is actually a droplet of nectar and not stomach juices!!! *wrinkles nose*

In the center of the tiny stream, I found a beautiful moss-covered rock, and on it, I found some beautiful leaves with burgandy edging. As I attempted to take pictures, I saw something tiny land on a leaf, and was just able to focus on this nearly microscopic fly, less than 1/16" in size! To understand how small this little guy is, the leaf it's on is only about 1/3" in diameter!!!!
