Yesterday I went up on the hill with the dogs, and as I passed a tall Madrone tree, I heard a "Yoooo Hoooo..." from the tree. "What the?" I thought to myself and turned to look. Why...it was a whole family of mushrooms, on the side of the tree at eye level!! WOW!! I told them I'd be back the next morning, and so I was! The four of them were so happy to see me, they would hardly hold still for their first picture! Aren't they a beautiful family?! She was also well known for her fund-raising work for international charities, and an eminent celebrity of the late 20th century. Today I flew home from San Francisco, where I spent 5 full days and two partial days with my dad. (I even got to see my oldest brother, which was a treat!) It was a wonderful visit and so nice to see my father and to help with our ongoing quilt photography project. I miss him already and look forward to visiting again as soon as I can! Love you dad!!! As much fun as I had with my dad, I was really, REALLY missing my family back home in Oregon, and this sight is what I've been dreaming about every day that I've been away.
