Today is the 13th anniversary of my first date with Steve! We decided it would be perfect to go on a 25 mile round-trip ride from our home to the little town of Shady Cove, where we got a tasty lunch before heading back and stopping at a boat launch/park next to the beautiful Rogue River. While Steve kicked back for 20-30 minutes and slowly turned into a blissful, sun-baked lizard, I got to thoroughly enjoy myself while I looked for pictures! When I got back from my photo adventure, I couldn't resist taking a picture of my husband, who was no longer distinguishable from a sleeping iguana! :D :D
(Oh, by the way, these are called "trikes" and they are made by a British company, "Trice". We love them! If you want to know more about these, Steve has a blog! Steve's Trike Journal )

Steve is now hosting a "Sunday Lunch Ride" with our local cycling club, and today we met up in Gold Hill, which is about 10 minutes from our house. The eight of us then rode to the lovely little town of Rogue River for lunch and had a wonderful time chatting and enjoying a delicious lunch together. Then we took the lovely, scenic ride back along the "Greenway" which meanders near the Rogue River and through parkland most of the way back to Gold Hill. 19 miles of super exercise and a great time was had by all!
This amazing velomobile was along for the ride and none of us could get enough of it! What a slick trike! Yes, this is a three-wheeled affair! Apparently the rider has taken this baby over 8,000 miles so far and is having the time of his life with this fabulous toy!! (By the way, he had a red shirt, matching white and red spotted socks, and a red and white polka-dot hat! Just too much fun!!!)
