I have saved my favorite picture from the Ashland Garden Tour for the last! Yes, after 42 pictures, I have FINALLY reached the end of this collection. How about this for an extremely unusual flower? I found these blossoms on a plant with sharp, pine-like needles. I've never seen anything like them, have you? A huge THANKS to Fizgig and Tiabunna for identifying this amazing flower for me! Back in November, 2012, I discovered this tiny, weird blobby thing on a log and I took a bunch of pictures, hoping it might be interesting once I saw it on the computer. When I looked at the images on my monitor, I could hardly believe my eyes! I have never seen any fungus like this before, nor since. It appears to be dozens and dozens of spaghetti-thin mushrooms, all clinging together...but maybe it's just one odd fungus? I don't think so though. It's certainly fascinating...if you can verify what this is I'd love to know!!

This is from my archives, taken last spring. It's the bud of a Yellow-Tinge Larkspur flower, which was featured as the 38th Flower of Spring & Summer. When I began that project, I only put one view with none in the comments as I do now. So this picture was left behind. I think these buds are amazing to see, and so different! I hope you like it too! :)
