The reason this pumpkin looks really weird...is because this pumpkin IS really weird. It's not orange, it's not yellow-orange, it's what you're looking at...kind of pinky-peach with splotches of olive green... it's one of the strangest pumpkins I've ever seen and...I LOVE IT!!!

Oh my, but I had trouble with my pumpkin pictures! The pumpkins are wonderful, but they are large and that caused me problems with creating proper bokeh. But it was really good practice for me, and this particular picture was a mistake! I forgot to adjust my aperture and when I saw that it was 20, I nearly deleted it...but at the last second I decided to look at it on the computer first. I'm really glad I did, because this is my sentimental favorite of my three pictures!

I found this male Northern Paper Wasp on some Goldenrod blossoms growing in my garden. It was content to stare at me curiously as I stared back taking pictures! :) Thanks to Leapfrog (Art) for helping me figure out what kind of wasp this is! :)
