Talk about moody! This area was hit by a fire some time ago and the forest floor was littered with burned logs, branches and downed trees. Amazingly, the fire didn't kill off every tree. Being a huge fan of orchids, when I discovered this flower hiding under large green leaves next to a stream in the forest, I was sure this was a Masdevallia Orchid of some type. It looks just like one! But, to my surprise, it's actually GINGER! This silly butterfly landed on my camera and then it landed on Steve's camera. It lande on Steve's head and then went to Steve's camera and probed the surface.
