Endless Sky Above Distant Train Track and Trees

05 Jan 2012 3 277
Another autumn image: After Steve and I went on our canoe trip around the the marshy areas of Upper Klamath Lake, we decided we would drive around the entire lake. It proved to be a fair distance and took us a couple of hours. The highway which took us around the western side didn't always afford a view of the lake, but instead, showed a vast, open sky with long stretches of desolate, lonely terrain. For many miles we drove next to or near a train track, which was often far enough away that all you could see was a line on the horizon dotted with trees, which I thought was very cool looking. Thanks to all of you who have visited and have left comments and favorites! I try to go to all of your pages within a day or two and is a highlight for me to see your beautiful photography! :) This image was taken in October, 2011.

This is my next set, which includes the last 10 images from our trip to Tunnel 13. This image is the contrast between metal track and snow. Such harsh lines...makes you think. Thanks to all of you who have left comments and fav'ed my images! I appreciate them all! If you leave a comment, I try very hard to return the favor on the same day. I consider it both a compliment that you've taken the time to tell me what you think about my image(s) and an invitation for me to come see your photography as well! For those of you who may not know, there is a very fun, free Flickr competition site which you might like to take part in. It's called FlickrDuel and features dozens of ongoing competitions, or duels every day. You can enter your pictures into many different categories and vote on contests too. It's another way to enjoy your photography! This image was taken on Saturday, November 12, 2100.
