HAPPY INTERNATIONAL COFFEE DAY!!!! (September 29, many other dates) Today is my birthday and I turned 49 years old!!!! How amazing it is to me! I remember when I was a kid thinking that anyone who was this age was OLD! Hilarious!!! :D :D I know that many people don't want to say how old they are, but it is a celebration for me! Every year I can look back and think about all that I have learned, the good and bad things that happened, the challenges and victories! It's such a funny thing because I feel like a 20-year old with a child inside, and though I don't look like a kid, I'm happy that I look younger than my age! I'm happy and excited about my next year of life, it's all such a fun adventure! I am so thankful to all of you for your friendship, encouragement, and helping to make every day wonderful! *big hugs to all of you* :) Thomas Jefferson (April 13, 1743 (April 2, 1743 O.S.) – July 4, 1826) was an American Founding Father, the principal author of the Declaration of Independence (1776) and the third President of the United States (1801–1809). He was a spokesman for democracy and the rights of man with worldwide influence. At the beginning of the American Revolution, he served in the Continental Congress, representing Virginia and then served as a wartime Governor of Virginia (1779–1781). Just after the war ended, from mid-1784 Jefferson served as a diplomat, stationed in Paris. In May 1785, he became the United States Minister to France. Wikipedia: Thomas Jefferson

Bokeh Thursday: Coffee Foam

4 more pictures in notes above! Here's my second submission for Bokeh Thursday ! This is where the other 25% of my liquid comes from every day: espresso latte coffee, one in the morning, and one in the late afternoon! I took a picture of the latte foam through a glass mug. Actually, I was so busy taking pictures after Steve made my coffee that by the time I began taking pictures, the thick foam had melted most of the way, but I loved the way the bubbles looked on the side of the glass! I had a lot of fun fooling around with filters and this one was the craziest looking so I made it the main image. You'll see above that there are 4 other versions! I really wanted to do some crazy artistic filters but these images are supposed to be about bokeh, and turning them into artistic filtered pieces would remove any sense of bokeh so I resisted...but they really looked cool! :D (I don't know if the top one is my favorite--I think they are all neat, so let me know if you have a favorite, I'd love to hear your opinion!!) :D
