[best appreciated at full size against black] I am delighted to show you a couple of pretty cool shots of a pair of mushrooms, taken on different days. This first image was taken a few days ago after it stopped raining and the sun came out. I was thrilled to find mushrooms, and better yet, they were showing their gills without me having to dig a hole in the ground to get an upward angle! Please see the next image for shot two! [best appreciated at full size against black] Yesterday I looked outside at about 8am and saw a frosted wonderland outside! I dressed as warmly as I could, popped my camera on the tripod and bounced outside for some frosty fun. As I prepared to go out, I thought about what pictures I'd like to focus on, because I've learned that in cold weather, I have a definite physical time limit before I'm too cold to stay out any longer. I thought to myself...O..M..G...MUSHROOMS WITH FROST and I know where they are!!!! I made my way back to the mushrooms I'd photographed a few days ago, and I was thrilled to find the same pair I photographed in the previous picture. Slightly different angle with a square format, but here they are! :) This image was taken on January 27, 2012.

[best appreciated at full size against black] Just outside our house, next to one wall, I noticed this trio of very dark mushooms standing proudly in a group. The image came out fairly dark so I took the RAW format image and turned into an HDR. I think the results turned out pretty well...what do you think? :) This image was taken during January, 2012.
