Another autumn image: After Steve and I went on our canoe trip around the the marshy areas of Upper Klamath Lake, we decided we would drive around the entire lake. It proved to be a fair distance and took us a couple of hours. The highway which took us around the western side didn't always afford a view of the lake, but instead, showed a vast, open sky with long stretches of desolate, lonely terrain. For many miles we drove next to or near a train track, which was often far enough away that all you could see was a line on the horizon dotted with trees, which I thought was very cool looking. Another Fall image: On the way back home from Klamath Falls, we pulled off the highway here and there to take fall images, and I liked this dirt road with the fence acting as a leading line to more autumn colors! This image was taken in October, 2011.

Another Fall image: On the way back home from Klamath Falls, we stopped here and there to take autumn pictures. This was my first opportunity to take pictures of "tractor eggs"! :D What the heck is a tractor egg? It's a silly name for a round hay bale, especially when it's got a white plastic covering to protect it from the elements. When Steve and I drove around Upper Klamath Lake, we drove through a particularly incredible area which was well-worth pulling off the road for some pictures. Here is another image from that magical spot in Klamath County as we drove around Upper Klamath Lake. The upper end of the drive took us away from the lake and we leaped out of the car when we saw this area! We think this brook empties into Upper Klamath Lake. This image was taken in October, 2011.

Yes, this is another image from that same spot along the drive around Upper Klamath Lake! The spot that we stopped had so many wonderful highlights no matter which way you turned. Here is the brook I've been showing images of, but here it looks like a pond from the pov. I really liked this lonely old tree skeleton, leaning over and soon to be on the ground. I bet that with some heavy snow fall, it will come down. This image was taken in October, 2011.

Heading along the highway towards the eastern side of Upper Klamath Lake, we saw this beautiful brook amidst lines of light and shadow. Definitely worth pulling over for! :) This image was taken in October, 2011.
