Diamond Clarkia: 149th Flower of Spring & Summer!…

his flower is a gorgeous little Another new surprise for me to discover while looking for new species! These beautiful little flowers grow around the banks of our seasonal streams and also in our lower forest. Because they are found all over western North America, they also have the name "Common Clarkia", but they're just too pretty for such a plain name, don't you think?! The blossoms measure about 3/4" in diameter and colors range from light pink to hot pink to burgundy. If you would like to know more about this pretty flower, Wiki has a page here: Wiki: Diamond Clarkia (Clarkia rhomboidea) By the way, I've uploaded two other pictures today and I hope you'll visit them too! Thanks to all of you who have visited and have left comments and favorites! I try to go to all of your pages within a day or two and is a highlight for me to see your beautiful photography! :)
