One of the absolutely enormous haul trucks used in the gold mines of Nevada, being towed by special permit under escort by the Nevada Highway Patrol. It takes up the entire width of the highway. It's turning off US route 50 (here also the Lincoln Highway) north onto Nevada state route 305 up to Battle Mountain, presumably its destination as there are lots of gold mines there.

Pershing County, Nevada, USA. Near the end of Stonehouse Canyon. Note that the tracks near the mouth have been buried by cave-ins! This area underwent a new flurry of activity around 1980, at the time of the last precious metal boom, and is undergoing another right now.
