It was a millpond a couple of weekends ago. Not now; the winter storms have started! This is another glacial lake in the Sierra Nevada, California, off the Carson Pass highway (SR 88). It's a popular hike, even on a cold fall day! The insets show slightly different views. The one on the right has weirder lighting but highlights the water clarity.
