In the eponymous canyon. South Jackson Mountains wilderness, Nevada.

A steep, rugged, eastward-draining canyon in the Jackson Mountains of northwestern Nevada. Altho the watercourse is dry out here, there is a running creek in the canyon (left insert), as well as trees and shrubs showing fall colors (right insert). This area is now part of the South Jackson Mountains Wilderness.
