Mama's cub is on the other side of the road (see enclosing pic)--we were glad to be inside the car. You don't want to get between a mother bear and her cub!

Off the Tahoe Mountain Road near Fallen Leaf Lake, South Lake Tahoe, California. Pic taken out the driver's window. Mama bear had run off to the other side of the road (inset) and the cub is preparing to follow her. We just stayed inside the car and watched!
