Wide open spaces. Looking south along BLM road 2037--the body of water in the distance is Chimney Dam Reservoir, on the Little Humboldt River. The stickery grass is cheat grass, a particularly obnoxious invader weed that's taken over much of the West, and that (for obvious reasons) has increased the frequency of wildland fires!
